Voice recognition software
liam.mccaffrey - 20/8/04 at 12:54 AM

I don't know if anybody has used voice recognition software, those of you who have know how good it can be, those of you who haven't are missing out. i
If you haven't already realised this post has been completely dictated in about a quarter of the time they would take to type, plus all the spelling is correct I hope!

If you guys get the opportunity to have a go on good software I think you will be very surprised at how accurate it is.

Cheers Liam

I'm glad to hear you like it. I haven't tried it since it first came out. I was excited about it, but at the time it left a lot to be desired. I would guess my 3400+ Athlon 64 with 1 GB memory would handle the task better than whatever archaic system I was using then.

i have a athlon 1GHz but i have got 1G of ram it handles it fine
am using dragon naturaly speaking 7
its really good and i am yet to finish training it

I think that a voice at the software package of the identification of the texts could lead exaggerated too wordy, and those creeping masts, thus me thinks that I could give a lack to this

I have dragon naturaly speaking 7 too. Anyone who wants to pay the postage can have it. Its an absolute load of crap. I persevered with it for about a week but it just wouldnt learn. I spent more time trying to get it to correct itself than anything else.

that is totally different to mine, it great hardly ever makes mistakes?

do you have a thick accent? i had to try and drop mine but after that is was brilliant

to install it in dogs and grandkids so they know what I'm on about instead of looking blank at me and carrying on with what they were doing.
