... ruined our sense of belief beyond repair?
I pretty much assume that every allegedly 'amazing' photo that I see nowadays has been shopped!
You assume correctly, unfortunately.
Which is why when I see some photos that I know have been taken on film and not chopped, and they look good, it's a much greater feeling of
amazement!
Don't know what you mean.....

Stop it... next you'll be telling me that the shark didn't really eat the helicopter in THAT photo!
A photograph never lies....... Erm
I started as a professional over 35 years ago, we could and did quite amazing image manipulation in the old days, photshop to me is just another tool
to create the image I want.
However it is sooo much quicker and easier
Most photographic clubs permit photoshopping in their competitions. Personally, i feel that it is "Cheating".

It has a serious side effect and that involves teenage females who are to daft to click the image they look at is not real... Then starve themselves
to look like a picture of some anorexic clothes horse.
We have had some in our extended family who died because of this and a very near miss.
Theres a funny side to these pictures but they are fueling a large number of ANA victims due to magazines irresponsible use of photoshop.
