5 and 6 were the only ones i would actually call picture or art of any form, even they are boring. The collage at least had some effort in it; you'd be proud if your 5 year old kid brought it home from school.

aside from that, i would've burned the rest myself. bloody awful.

Agreed.
Even the very best of them were barely average.

By that standard the stuff down at the local primaty school must be worth a fortune, it should solve the buget overspend and more.

I love speed :-P - 26/5/04 at 09:17 PM

Hellfire - 26/5/04 at 09:22 PM

Quite like 10 for some odd reason... no great loss though.

My other half said that it was Junk art that got trashed paid for by a fool with more money than sense and a lot of over paid yesmen. Some of the stuff that went up was as the above post says kindergarden standard..........SWMBO is a portrait artist...........does good pix and knows her stuff.

Art and money...hmmmm

As Sinatra used to sing "you can't have one without the other".

A few years ago there was a exhibition of modern art in Antwerp whereby the "objects of art" where placed in public places and along some major roads.
One of the locals was so upset with the so called modern art that he decided to put his own piece of modern art along a major road.
This piece of art was no more than a few empty cola bottles and a large tin can sprayed in fluorescent orange!
This masterpiece sat there for a few weeks before it was noticed that it didn't belong to the collection!!

Modern art...everybody can make it...only a few can live from it!

nicklondon - 27/5/04 at 06:22 AM

what doesn't get a mention is the dozens of small body shops and garages also lost or damaged in the fire.the area was still sealed off yesterday (wed) so the fire brigade could cool down all the gas cylinders.if all this art was so good then why was it in storage and not on some rich t**ts wall !!!

The worst bit is that we'll end up paying for this trash - they're expecting tens of millions of Pounds in insurance claims.

Photo of Barcelona was ok, would prefer a picture of London though.
Went to the Tate Modern last year to witness this 'art' for myself. Rotting horse heads, chopped up cows, dead shark in a tank, a very big ash tray full of fag ends and of course the masterpiece ot Ms Emins 'unmade bed'....
There was one exhibit that impressd me.
A large room half full with old sump oil, and a walk way into the middle of the room. I guess that says a lot about my character....

It is i think referring to 'sleeping in the same house' - like she includes her aborted foetuses - particularly tasteful that one.

It also means someone actually sh%^ged her!

I have posted a pic of out trace before, a particularly 'nice' one (!) but here is a taster....

she does have fab norks tho!

use gogle image search for more - but not too close to lunch

It just gets better and better. Look how much paint you could save if you only painted skinny women though. Sorry she appears to have lost her pearl necklace mate.
