I knocked up this chimnea 5 years ago from a couple of oil drums and its finally rotting through so I want to make a much better one using stainless
oil drums. I have seen them in the past on ebay, (apparently used for shipping food stuffs into the country) but can't find them anymore,
I have knocked up chimneas out of gas bottles, washing machine and tumble dryer drums, old compressor tanks etc. but for shear kicking out heat and
minimal weight oil drums seem easiest. So if anyone knows a source of stainless drums It would be much appreciated.

Have a look at dairy equipment - a milk churn maybe?
Or pharmaceutical, you need an insider at Pfizer or the likes.
I was going to buy a chimnea. I like that one. Maybe ill do one of them when i have nothing to do at work.
Beer kegs are indeed made out of food grade stainless.
They used to be aluminium but due the high value of scrap they were changed.
You will find a huge pile of them outside your local beer wholesaler....
There's a company called Greif that make them at their branch in Burton on Trent.
Not cheap though.
