I love this stuff in a white sliced bread sandwich.

My good lady dislikes it as much as she dislikes Marmite

(I love the Marmite thing too)

What does everyone on here think?

Cheers

Didnt know they still made it sort of bit like salad cream with attitude. Retro snappin wonder if they still make Vesta beef chow mein

Reminds me of summer days as a wee boy! Me and my pals would head off to explore the surrounding countryside and swim in the river... mum would make me sandwiches to take with me and tuna with sandwich-spread were my faves!

Fond memories... think I'll go and buy a jar (for the first time ever!).

don't knock it 'til you've tried it (referring to the spread ).

... but the Heinz cucumber spread was even better, not seen that in quite a while (unless I imagined it).

One of those tastes / smells that bring memories flooding back.
Great stuff and keeps a sandwich moist, but agreed it isn't the most photogenic filling.

Will have to smuggle a jar into the fridge. SWMBO also hates it (along with salad cream and marmite).

i tried it once and wasnt too keen. Good for variety but not anywhere near peanut butter on toast.

Litemoth - 20/4/10 at 07:45 PM

Repeats on ya for days afterwards....Like Frazzles. Like em both though.

Cor, I lived the Vesta boxed meals...with those flat noodley things you had to fry. Dead sophisticated in it's day.

oooh look ...just found

Ninehigh - 22/4/10 at 08:28 PM

That's it? I always wondered why people couldn't explain what flabour spread they had...

mookaloid - 24/4/10 at 10:26 PM

my good lady still won't have any - even though I have now pointed out to her that she is in a minority
