as per the title really.. I have two tamiya 1/16th scale radio control models to build over the next couple of years, the "Tiger I" and the
"Sherman" and whilst I can find any number of variations of the tigers camo... the sherman seems to have been delivered in olive drab or the
british equivalent... I have even checked with a couple of volunteers at the tank museum (not a million miles from me in poole) who were helpful but
not very successful,, I have searched on the internet but again not very usefully...
I have been amazed in the past by the amount of info availiable on this forum so thought it worth a punt.. thanks in advance, Keithice
I don't remember ever seeing pictures or the real thing in anything other than one colour....doesn't mean they didn't. Most UK tanks of the period where single colour I think.
not convinced that is original scheme; always seen them like t his:
Mmm!
They didnt even seem to have snow camo..
Surely not the wisest
i think it was like the model t any colour you want as long as it was plain green. Uk firefly versions used to be paterned.

As an aside anyone interested in tanks should go to:
Duxford (not just planes. though they are also very interesting as are the rebuild workshops)
http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/server/show/ConWebDoc.1223
and the Tank Museum in Saumur
