eccsmk - 23/7/09 at 09:44 PM

finished work early
ready for cadwell
went across in my van and the track was almost empty
came home to get the indy
fell over a work bag and stubbed my toe

looked down
my little toe was at right angles to my foot
so ive just spent about 5 hours on hospital

im not allowed to use my foot for 2 weeks

gutted

Is there anything you won't do to avoid going on a trackday?

2 boxes of panadol, a bottle of whiskey and tape the toe up good and tight. Put on race boot and do track day. Then drink whiskey

eccsmk - 23/7/09 at 10:06 PM

it was lucky my dad was about because he got the job of taking me to hospital

and taking a pic of my toe half way through the straightening process mmmm nice

welderman - 23/7/09 at 10:08 PM

fo some of us sick minded people, pictures please. For proof of course.

Steve Hignett - 23/7/09 at 10:15 PM

Macbeast - 23/7/09 at 10:20 PM

Jackie Stewart won a F1 with a broken wrist - you wimp !!

eccsmk - 23/7/09 at 10:20 PM

ive only got one pic and it shows a bandaged toe

it doesnt hurt but thats possibly due to the 5 injections to numb it as theytried to allign it for the second time

the pic my dad took wont load onto a pc as its not compatible
and he is to tight to send it to my phone

Liam - 23/7/09 at 10:22 PM

As long as it's clearly bandaged at 90 degrees to the other toes, your excuse is acceptable.

years ago i was late for work, so rushing about the house.. i managed to kick the corner of a skirting board.. Jeebus it hurt!!

i was in agony all day walking around the workshop. i took my boots off later that day to find some of my toes had turned a nice shade of Black/blue/green/purple

eccsmk - 24/7/09 at 11:19 AM
