That's the same mechanical layout as a sand racer as used in the channel islands and also for hillclimbs when the nationals are in town as well.

They use Jaguar XK twin cams right enough, but backed by a normal gearbox then a Jag back axle.

Why would you want to sit so much to the front?
There are options enough to place that engine right.
