hi
Would any body know where i could buy a set of pneumatic wheels and tyres approx 300mm outside dia heres a sketch based on 265mm wheels but i think
there a bit small as hes only 2.

Smaller wheels means better acceleration doesnt it
He's going to be one lucky boy but, if it takes a couple of years to build, like the rest of them, i would plan something a little bigger

Just a thought, but arent wheelbarrow wheels about that size. Just looked in the Screwfix catalogue 360mm dia. pump ups, fit on a 25mm shaft, £12.99
each. At that price you could even fit a spare. atb Ray

With wheel barrow wheels the car comes out at 7.5ft long which is just getting to big with 300mm wheels its about 6ft

Why not make a 6ft car with 360mm wheels?
Most real Locosts have anything from 13in to 15in wheels.
Don't enlarge your artwork to fit the wheel size. Make the car to fit the child.
Larger wheels make for a better ride.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Theres a kit, ow at least a set of plans ofr a Toylander. Similar idea really.

theres lots of little wheels out there.I got mine for this for £35 for 4 at a car show.

waterproof mdf and the plans are from a company called Toylander (but havent brought their parts) true locost fashion made them or brought cheeper.
Two electric wheelchair motors are going to drive it ! (had to forget about petrol engine when our daughter found out how fast it was going to
go!)
