ebay car - hustler?!
anyone know about RARE HUSTLER KIT CAR on eBay (end time 11-Mar-11 19:49:10 GMT) ?!?!
looks like the 1st attempt of a pope-mobil to me

They were around 30 ish years ago, and from memory based on Mini/Metro
not somthing i would want on my drive!!

Saw one of these at Stoneleigh a year or 2 ago and to make it even worse they had built a replica model which lived in the back you can just see it
in the photo on the grass.

Lol... I saw that at Stoneleigh too. Me and Mrs Scootz both agreed that it wasn't to our tastes, but each to their own!

he forgot more about auto enginering than you lot will ever learn?
was head man at aston martin at one time,and i think standard / triumph
if you think that ones ugly
what about is lagonda.
lived near me in warwickshire.

Sorry, I have always liked them! remember at the time there were no people carriers, the options were to have a car or a van, angular lines were the
style of the period. Designed by Bill Towns who designed among other cars the Aston Lagonda. I think the wooden ones were intended to be exported and
then paneled in the 3rd world to provide simple transport.
Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.

Did he not grasp the concept of curves or something? I remember the wooden ones from when I was a lad, some used Austin Maxi running gear. He may have
forgotten more than I know but I know something he doesn't so there  He did a Mini based town car called the Minissima which was another weird
one.

We have admired them from afar at Stoneleigh and other shows over the years, and even though wood work pays my bills and the designer was a very
sharp bloke, it would take a lot to get me be seen in one of them but what a great name for a car!

sadly whilst the lagonda was seriously engineered, it was also a complete failure as a saleable item... it too had weird angular lines, and the dash
was like something from star trek.
