Firstly I can say the following in an unbiased fashion as I have nothing to do with these manufacturers! (and am not building their current cars!)
I would strongly recommend having a look into what MNR do if you are going to compete. Their stuff is exceptional in terms of lightness and
quality.
The other good option is the latest from Stuart Taylor. Their chassis are now made by CAGED who do the chassis for Caterham as well, and are CNC cut
and welded and are of truly exceptional quality.
Worth spending a few extra quid at the beginning to get something really well made in my opinion.
