its abit long winded maybe should have started it at the start of me doing it, ohh well
pics of car before, my first car pride and joy but one thing led to another and i wanted more from it and it would have cost alot

car then was carted off to be mapped again to suit the engine mods from the fwd install to the rwd,
down to track and road in london, abit of a treck from leeds but worth it ever time ive been,
had afew cooling issues but apart from that went well,
after a year in the ka engine still pushing the samish power,
175bhp at 7950 125lbft at 6400,
had a little drive in the car park having never driven a kit car or anything rwd before, and it was mad to say the least!
after we got it home got plates for it
did dash adding rev counter speedo and new guages

picked up a set of new 14" image split rims for it,
also got a tran x plated diff for it
got it tracked up and then moted
then hit the road!
was great fun, didnt really hammer the car as wasnt sure how it would react/drive but was very impressed, totaly different from a fwd car
got to local westfield meet and got biggers mirrors from spa

then it broke, braked for a junction and it snapped a lower arm,
lucky it was near work so i got a pump truck and moved it out of the way
then got it forked lifted back to work where i could leave it
the damage
which brings us up to now really, car is still sat outside full of water, picking some new arms up this weekend, then i start the next phase of the
project over the coming 3 months!

was built just as a race car,
im converting it to RHD over winter,
engine is fantastic, very light and a fair amount of power for a small car, i was going to keep it LHD and duratec it but decided i dont really need
another 25bhp and would preffer it RHD

My 1st ride in a kit was in this
shawspeed
It went very well around Brands.
Always thought they looked like a nice car. I seem to recall there where lots of LHD cars because they raced they in Spain?

Nice toy - so much better than that old Lancia Stratos replica you had....
That wishbone looks like it broke at the weld. If that is right I would check all of the others - in fact I would sling out all of the others.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

OT Blasting chassis with Rivet holes
quote: Originally posted by beaver34

Sorry for Hijack,
What happens with the rivet holes??
I´m still building, but i painted my chassis with a "temporary" coating that I would like to re-do whenever I´m ready for final
assembly.
But now I´m in the crossroad to apply topcoat or blast an apply proper anticorrosive before the finaltopcoat.
Issues:
1 Hole enlargement
2 grit getting inside the tubes.
3...?any other that you guys foresee..
Thanks
Beware of what you wish.. for it may come true....
