No one here has owned up to a broken leg
Picture shows how nasty it was.
Wakey Wakey at the back!
Linky
Fozzie
Doh! beaten to it again
That picture shows it better than the previous one. The cars coming towards the photographer are coming off a large roundabout. He's either been coming down off the M6 or across from Ashton. Either way, he must've been giving it some off the roundabout!
the fire service cut the car in half to get him out.
They did the same to a caterham up at knockhill a few years back
Bloody hell. fair mess. Looks like a new westy.
easy done in the damp/wet
glad hes ok but makes a strong case for the government folk about better training or reducing kit cars or restricking horse power. That will be on the
agenda next!
That's about a mile and a half from my house! bit of an odd one because the exit from that roundabout is pretty straight coming in that direction
from Ashton and if you were coming off the sliproad from the M6 and lost it in a big way you'd probably end up upside down on the opposite
carriageway having vaulted the verge.
Bit unusual too because that part of Wigan is pretty much a kit car free zone! (unless there's a sprint on at 3 Sisters when you see one or two)
A man in his 20's? Does that mean 20 and one day old? Lots of power for someone who may not be experienced enough. Glad he is ok.
Jesus! Make you think chaps.
Yep, does make you think a little - When in a light and powerful rwd car, take it a little easier coming off a roundabout in the wet.
I know it does get the better of us all occasionally at some point but there are times and places when it is safer for all concerned
Nasty Lucky he wasnt hurt more.
IM-very-HO, the 7 design has 2 really weak areas in a crash - in the rear, due to the petrol tank, and in the side of the passenger compartment.
The side of the passenger area has very little protection and whoever's on the side that's hit is going to get injured, especially if
it's something solid and narrow like a tree.
If I was starting another build I'd probably fit a welded-in full cage.
