All,
I may been sniffing to much 4 star over the last couple of years, but I am sure that I heard a rumour somewhere that Ron Champion was going to write a
revised version of book? You know, the one which has helped us all spend more than £250.
Anyone know any thing about this, or am I just stoned!
Cheers,
The Baron.
It was revised and now includes how to build the car "and race it" mind you that was a few years ago.
The new book's out in February next year, I believe.
Cheers
Chris
What's he updating in it? Or just putting the dimensions and stuff in properly this time?
Probably called How to build a sports car for £5000?
i think everyone has missed the point of this book! i reckon the whole idea was to have a book lying around for the wife to see to keep her of the scent
So is there any further advancement on this? I've scoured the web and can't find any evidence of a new book, although there are loads of
rumours about a Sierra based book.
What Gives?
rumours involve MK, plus there is something on amazon i believe.
here we go...:

not yet published.
Someone put a brochure in my car at Donnington on the Sunday when it was parked in the Locost area. There was a yellow car on the front that was also parked there, believe that was the car featured in the new book . Don't think it was Ron Champion though?
I know chrisg has a really informative website, but a new book?

Yes it's sierra donor for this edition, just as they start getting hard to find
At least the build it "budget" is realistic
It uses sierra running gear with full irs drawings provided I've been informed and is based around a +2" chassis iirc. Demo car was built by
mk.
