Ihave been offered what I feel is serious money for my car. Not sure if I should sell or not?

What do I do? Sell it and build another or enjoy what I have? Rescued attachment small locost.JPG

You were featured in which kit right?

That is one awesome looking car. The nosecone is a work of art.
Probably the best looking seven i've seen. i am not surprised it has attracted big money

Hi Trev,

The answer's simple,

build another.....

then sell the first one.

Don't tell the buyer that you'v got another one though.

I saw your car at Donington too and admired the nose job, perhaps the potential buyer wants to put it in their lounge as a piece of art

Sell and build another, and then another and so on

Seriously looks awsome, but like me there are probably several things you want to change/improve

steve_gus - 24/10/05 at 08:57 PM

are you SURE this is a genuine offer.....

its not one of those "I am in nigerai, and my auntie in lagos wants one of those. I will send you a cheque for too much money, and get you to pay the excess back, then dissapear".

There are lots of car purchasing scams - please make sure the buyer is genuine, and you get REAL MONEY in your hand, and not a bouncing over priced foreign cheque....

If I build another it will be on a seven style chassis. But with a different style body.

miserableoldgit - 24/10/05 at 09:34 PM

How on earth did you make that nosecone - and are you willing to give lessons?

If I ever develope the skill to build a car like yours I don't know that I could ever part with it . but saying that like most on here there's probably things you would do different on a second build? Make sure you get the cash before you part with the car.

Sell it abroad Trevor, then mine won't look so bad when I finally get it on the road.

Of course the down side is we'd have to drop the "Northants Group Meet, Home of the Locost of the Year" tag.

Who's the potential buyer?

Caracticus Potts?

Sorry I could not let it lie!

I could be gone some time.

I'm off to make a "wheel"

You'll be the first Locost builder with flat thumbs then!

wow i like the car

The Locost sales market is very fickle.

Most buyers don't want to give you what it's worth because they see it as amateurish, even if built to a high standard like yours.

I'd say sell it whilst the offer is there. You can always build another.

I saw your car at Newark, my son brought my car round next to yours to show you the Toyota engine.
