Rolling at Last! (third time lucky!)
flyingkiwi - 21/3/05 at 04:00 PM

Right, finally I have had the time to spend on some solid work to the car and some progress has been made! YAY! I managed to sort out the rear axle, fit the suspension, trial fit and tweek all the body panels, make up the backing board for the seats, plumb in the rad, cut off the front panels as I didn't like them, and learn how to weld. All in all, a rather productive weekend's work, oh yes, also managed to buy a dog somehow too.

Quite pleased with my efforts and now I just need to install the new engine, sort out the wiring, lights and on and on and on.......... Oh plus move house and find a new home for the car as I don't think I will have a garage. Gutted.

Thanks for all the tips and advice you lot have provided me over the last two years. Without it I think I would have given up!

Cheers

And another one!

Just need to clean up the engine bay a bit before the 1700 xflow goes in! Rescued attachment DSCF1248.jpg

Hi Chris,

Car is looking good, nice to see those cortina uprights I sold you being put to good use.

I seem to have accumulated a lot of bits, but haven't had time to do anything with them. Looks like you might finish before me at this rate.

Cheers

Nick

Cheers Nick, yeah those upright are spot on.

It's mad, two weeks ago, it was just a pile of bits in the garage, now it looks like a car,

Still a long way to go though.

I'm on to seat manufacture now..... not as easy as I though.
