I know these types of post can get a little tiresome, but I'm stuck on who else to ask so here I am asking it anyway. How much do you think my car worth for both insurance purposes and the current private selling climate?

Watching ebay they appear to be advertised between 6 and 12 but vary in spec a fair bit.

Full Cage (which i understand to be FIA approved)
1 year old 6 point harnesses
Compomotive Wheels with a good set of 195/50/15 Michelin Ps3
Sierra front uprights
Sierra Front Disc/Calipers
Sierra Rear calipers with Fiesta Discs
Rebuilt over the last 5-6 years with all new bearings, seals, joint etc. The only item that wasn't removed/refreshed was the tub from the chassis.
Currently has 10 months MOT

Bad bits.
It really needs a new pair of seats,
5th crunches a little bit but nothing I'm worrying about

Can't help you too much, only advice is to really see what other similar cars are selling for, and compare specs etc and price accordingly.
At the end of the day, it's worth what you will accept and what others are willing to pay, just depends how soon you want to sell which may influence fine tuning of the price

I'm guessing 6/7 k bearing in mind gearbox issue and needing new seats .

Sling a used type9 and a new pair forf seats and stick.it up for 10k ginetta is a known and trusted brand at the higher end of the kit car market. Should demand healthy semi racecar money at the spec provided.
