Having seen Leigh's "Stainless table spoons" holding his headlights on made me think others must have used odd bits too.

BTW had he not told me i would never have known they look the part but his missus is still searching for them, should we tell....

House brick

when marking out rear arches on my tod,rested arch on two house bricks forward side while marking out the holes.

Also bled rear calipers with broom handle on pedal ,this was before back panel and arches were fitted. Then i discovered eezzi bleed,cheers to zetrec for that.

Also some adapted machinery parts from work here and there

I used the tubing from an old metal framed glass coffee table to make the front wing supports, it was thick walled and about 15mm od, it hasnt cracked yet.

Sounds like a magic act or jugglers Chris The Flying Lumbys would be good as well . I have a washing liquid bottle for an expansion tank. It's only temporary though. 2 years now

I used a bit of a house raditator cover for my front grill in the nosecone (i think it looks ok)

The legs from a wheel barrow to make an exhaust when I ran out of suitable tubing to complete the job

Made me think of a Reliant Robin convertible with twin exhausts. Every time I park my barrow I get a welly full of gobbo, I can't understand it .

You ever seen our juggling / acrobatic act. I got quite good at juggling angle grinders until on bit me on the leg!!
As for the acrobatics - just getting in and out of one of these cars qualifies

I once used an aluminium fire extinguisher to make a can to seal a chain-drive diff. Looked factory!
I also used a nice new stainless beer keg for a pressure washer for off-road racing clean-ups between races.
I used to go skiing in Switzerland/Austria/Italy when I was younger and always packed a 10mm spanner in my case. For apre ski entertainment, I would take my spanner and find a VW Beetle and "borrow" the bonnet (US = hood) for a tobbogan (requires waxing). With a rope through the handle to hang onto, it will carry 3 people and is easily steerable by leaning.
