I know I look like I'm being tickled, but its only because I'm laughing like a school kid in my car.

Had some work done to it, lots of stuff I couldn't do personally, complex white man voodoo stuff.

Still got quite a bit to do, but to say I am chuffed is an understatement.

Rear wings will be black soon, and rear alu panel either orange, or I'm also toying with black... either way, my sheddy car is starting to come good. Rescued attachment dbl1.jpg

Its 60% satin spray paint.

Mr Miyagi did it. I'll say no more than that.

Not sure about the rear arches, but up until tonight I was quite prepared to drive an ugly car, as long as it went like stink, so I'm not going to get all pre-madonna over the rear arches all of a sudden.

Need to get the gaffer tape goop off (any ideas on what I could use?) and give her a good wash, then crack on with SVA prep!

Nice satin black noseband idea

remvove the tape residue with petrol or brake cleaner.

Disclaimer - try it on a hidden bit of bodywork first! it was fine on mine but im taking no responsibility for yours!

You're not going to get much air through the rad

paraffin or white spirit.

Get it built and passed then worry about the aesthetics after! That's what I did on mine. Did the bare minimum to pass on a pre-cat engine then spent the next couple of years re-building (a couple of timres) the whole thing without the worry of sharp edges and switch locations.

Feck me Andy, the tread on those tyres will never pass SVA
