After over 20 years since buying the kit and about 17 years on the road I have to final sold the Fury.
I haven't been using it enough and it was time to move on and let someone else enjoy it.
I went in the garage earlier and it seems real empty however so i don't know how long it will be before I'm looking for something else to
build.

Been there quite a few times. Only one I don't regret is the landy. Owned a classic beach buggy for 25 years I built as a teen (actually from my
very first car I got when I was just 16) sold it for some stupid reason can't even mind why 
Oh well gives you the cash to build a new one 
Always a shame when they get moved on, but I think the hardest thing is actually making the decision to sell in the first place, especially when
you've owed a car for that long
Give it a little while and then time for a plan and perhaps a new project 
Can be a shame to let them go and the empty garage it leaves.
Remeber selling my MK Indy and having the same empty garage. Made me feel like building again, but other things took over and filled the time and
space (garage is now a kids bedrom!).
In all honesty it's the building part I'd like to do again really and probably buying a part built to rebuild / finish for best value.
I know how you feel, after selling mine a while ago. However, I have no regrets. It was fun, but I was struggling to keep enthusiasm up, and was
hardly using the thing.
Trouble is, I now have a garage to clear!

Yeah, once I'd made the decision to sell Striker, for much the same reason as OP sold his Fury, it was quite easy. Still miss it but happy it's being used well and almost daily now!

Hope you don't miss the car too much Pete! I've just been taking it (mostly) steady and getting to know the car. It used to be very twitchy above 50mph but I got a bit higher than that after the last few jobs.
So far the car has been treated to:
New tyres - toyo r888r (the old tyres were quite old.. )
New seats - snagged some £180 per seat grp ones for £50 each at Stoneleigh as they had slight scratches from trial fitting.
Oil and filter change.
Front suspension refresh, most of the nylon bushes upper and lower were seized and far too tight so I've reamed them out and re-greased. In the process of getting some protech shocks and springs too. All front ball joints replaced for piece of mind. In the process of putting a grease nipple in the upper rockers.
New Barnett clutch springs - it was slipping a bit at higher revs, they've made the clutch slightly stiffer and easier to stall, but no slippage, so a fair trade off.
New mintex 1144 front pads - brake fluid change is on the to do list too.
Added a black grill to the front and going to cut a hole in the front of the exhaust side pod and cover with the rest of the black mesh to aid cooling as it gets quite hot, got some reflective sheet to stick in there too.
Replaced the Aerocatches with lockable ones as one was broke anyway and they're only sold as pairs.
I've got a new steering wheel and quick release boss coming on Monday, maybe then I won't be so worried about leaving the car parked when not at home.
My 4 year old has managed to snap the side mirror off too!
Rear bushes and suspension is next, so I might drop the fuel tank to explore the fuel gauge not working fully.
I'm thinking of changing the wheels even though I think they look great, maybe some gold minilites to go with the Olympic blue Escort theme. From my measurements the current ones are -6 offset and 5.5" whereas they should be closer to et18 and 6" wide. They stick out a bit too much, maybe affect handling too.
Maybe when the long list of jobs are done I'll take it to get the geometry setup professionally and corner weighted, so far my gunson Trakrite has worked fine

Great to see the car is being looked treated in a way that i'd lost the drive to do.
Looks great in the picture and by the sound of it, it will be driving better too.
The hole in the garage has been filled with a workbench and some smaller projects at the moment but am already thinking i need another car to tinker with/build.
Hope you have some good weather to get it out this year.
