Hi all,
three years ago I bought from Ricky Evans Motorsport an Elan S1/2 heated windscreen for my Fury at that time under fully rebuild thinking to use it in
the next months. Thing changed and I'm only now finishing the job and going to test assembly the windscreen on the frame: there is a big
missmatch between the windscreen and the frame due to both dimensions and shape.
The glass seems to be wider, shorter and with corners more rounded than the frame.
Could be that the Elan S3/4 windscreen is the correct one? Or could be other specifications that can make the differences?

Definately an S3 windscreen and that is what Ricky Evans sold to me. I even asked him at the time if it was the S2 or S3 and he said the S3.
There are some images of the fitment on my build blog

Bond the screen to the frame and then fit the seal to the edge. Its the same seal as a Ford Transit but cut down to a T shape and bonded to the
screen.
Scoll down to the end of April 2017

Thanks Tim,
it seems that I definitely bought a wrong screen. I'll try to contact Ricky and ask if I can make the swap between my heated S2 and a non heated S3 version, even if it's passed 3 years from the purchase. The screen is still packaged as received. If he accept it will still cost me a fortune for transport from and to Italy

I'm sure. It cost me enough to have it delivered in the UK.
Do you need the heated screen in Italy!
Just seen, you are in Bergamo. I was in Milan in October and flew into Bergamo, I should have popped in to see how your rebuild is going

Ricky would not accept back the Elan S1/2 screen (because too long time passed from purchase) and the shipping + insurance cost will be higher than
the cost of the screen itself, so I have to sell it by myself and buy a new Elan S3 screen and in Italy there is a very restricted market for Elan

https://www.seloc.org/ is another.
Thank you for your suggestions. Selling in UK could be a little bit not competitive due to transport cost for shipping from Italy. But I'll try
anyway

Fury ( and most other jp screened cars) take an S3 screen.
What you've got is an S3 screen. What you need is an S3 (which also fits very early S3. The later S3 is shallower with more wrap-around as you
describe.

Fury uses an Elan S2 screen (sometimes listed as an S2/3 as it also fits very early Elan S3)
From your pictures and description what you have is an s3 (later one not shared with the S2).
There is some spurious info on the net that the fury has a S3 screen.
Sounds like you've been sent an S3 despite ordering (the correct) S2 screen.
You'll probably also find that the top of the frame has dropped in the middle. It usually does and needs propping up and maybe a bit of heat applying to it for a few days to get the screen to fit.

My Stylus is a S2 screen and fitted fine. Same as the fury mostly

Looking to photos of S1/2 and S3/4 on the net, it seems that the screen of the S3/4 has lower edges sharper that those of the S1/2. If I consider my
screen, ordered to Ricky Evans as S2 version, it is also wider and shorter compared to the Fury frame. Tomorrow I'll have the time to work on the
Fury and I'll take some photos again of the screen, but out of the plastic bag.
Ricky told me that the right screen for Fury is the S3.
Now I want to be 100% sure before to place again an order.
Last photos taken to better explain the situation of the screen ordered and received and the mismatch with the frame:

If on the right of the car the glass match the frame, on the left it overlaps. And anyway the lower corners of the glass are much more rounded
compared to the frame.
Then probably, as Ady argued, could be necessary to heat the frame to let it match with the glass, but could be acceptable if dimensions and shape
match.

By the looks of these images, you definately have the wrong screen. The bottom corners of the one you have are rounded where as the one I have has a sharp angled corner on the lower side.
Once you get the correct screen it should fit fine, even if it has sagged or moved a bit as it is quite flimsy. Once you have the bonding adhesive on and clamped to the frame it will fit fine.
I think you ordered the S2/2 and hot sent a wrongly packed labeled 3/4
