Can anyone help me with this. Should the line on the picture below be parallel to the ground?
rear body
Trying to work out the best position for my bodywork before I drill the first hole
not 100% sure, but i'd be more concerned with whether the back panel is at 90 degrees from the floor so that all of your lights point correctly to the rear....
Pretty sure the backpanel is always slightly angled.
Id go with what looks right in relation to the wheels and arch. Ie it looks like it needs rotating anticlockwise around the roll bar to pull the front
edge of the arch away from the wheel, and the bottom edge of the rear part of the arch down.
Both good points. I will get the level on the back panel (where the lights go) and see how that sits.
The front of the wheel arch pulls forward 2-3 cm when in the correct position. In this picture the arch is only clamped at the back and the angle of
the picture makes it look a little worse than it is.
The position is fixed, i thought, because of the angled part at the front that wraps around and into the cockpit area. You can see it in the far
side of the picture. It butts up against a piece of the chassis.
Obviously your arches are seperate and mine are fixed so i cant help you there.

I don't really htink there is a right way or a wrong way.
I think mine sits quite high compared to others, but only become an issue if you need to fit a hood I think!
Not much help....if I get chance I'll post a pic of mine.

Not sure if these pics work, or if they are of any help?
I would say that in response to your first question, the top line does not need to be horizontal, and that it's down to personal choice. I have
to say when i fitted mine I wasn't in possession of my hood so it wasn't critical to my chioce. I don't think you can still get hoods
for Strikers anymore anyway can you?

OK,
I'll work out later how to post a pic!
They are in my photo archive if you can get to that!

Aha, worked it out now if anyone else is interested.
I think the key is to get the wheel as central as possible.
