Yellow fisher fury on e bay If I had the room I would buy it location York, don't know how to link to e bay..
This one?...
Fisher Fury 1998 1.8l Zetec Le Mans Bonnet
That does look a bargain.
Doesn't 120bhp seem a little low for a bike carbed 1.8 - maybe that's at the wheels?
It may be one of the 105hp escort engines that has not had the 130hp cams changed.
if it would be a real bargain, it would have been sold already...tyres are decades old....strange (unpainted, rusty) welding constuction near door
hinges..engine sits, imo, a bit too far at front..., why the chassis, incl. suspension parts AND all bolts/nuts/washers are painted black??
it doesnt cost a fortune but 3k would be the right price....

Wow, second JP car for sale that you've rubbished in as many weeks. Do you have a vested interest in keeping resale values down?

May not be running a mapped ignition which may be holding back a few horses.
The Autotune Gemini over the border also looks a decent proposition.

imo where would you put the engine seen as it is already touching the end of the drivers footwell have you ever seen a fury close up.
and if it was yours would you want 3k or more ? so what is your workmanship like glass houses mate
this site is starting to get some complete ? on
Eh? What on earth??
It's a ROAD CAR : such steps may shave of vital seconds on a track weapon.. but makes sod all difference to a car like this for general
driving.
It appears a nicely done kit car at a decent price. Worth 4k all day long.
old tyres
strange door hinge construction..or whatever it is
ignition eventually not mapable-->low on power
some minor body / paint damage
weather gear which doesnt fit
"undersealed" chassis---not very nice on a kitcar, nor necessary or done because it was used all year round --> means attention to the
chassis!!
a bit untidy enginebay
bonnet inside looks a bit botched togehter
front brake calipers looks like the right one is painted silver, left one not
exhaust manifold "only" in mild steel
none of the above mentioned things are very serious, but all togehter drop the price.
its not too much overpriced, but the kitcar season is nearly over, kitcar market is down anyway and ,imo, 4k would buy a better car..if you have time
searching the web...
Well I am biased being a Fury owner.. I personally value them higher as I like them (plus anything from the Sylva stable).
But as a seasoned watcher of Furys for sale i would suggest they tend to command a higher price regardless of the sum of their parts in relation to
other cars (same as the price strata of all seven replicas). They are rarer too being a full bodywork roadster.
I don't think that this car would ever make you money but I don't think you would ever lose any either!
i“am also a bit sylva/fisher biased..driving those cars since years and i always wonder why sylva“s can be bought so cheap, compared to other
kitcars.
lets take a striker:
you can buy a perfect, low mileage live-axle striker for less /same money than a scruffy westfield with same technical spec.
and the striker does everything better than the westfield.
3.5k for a near perfect striker is possible..whereas a 3.5k westfield always shows its age.
its similar with fisher“s:
you get a nice (as new) IRS fury built somewhere in the 2000“s with a good technical spec for 5-6k
why should you buy a 4k car with some problems?
and i must repeat again: if the 4k car would be such a good bargain it would have been already sold on the first day advertized.

Westfield have concentrated on a single model (more or less) and have offered factory finished cars to very high specifications establishing a visible
and established brand with identifiable published values. The minimum standard base vehicle being of a comparably high standard.
Sylva, Fisher, Raw, etc. have never achieved this leaving cars finished to highly variable standards allowing no real comparisons and therefore
values.
In short many people know what a Westfield SEiW Zetec is and where values are. - What is a Fisher Fury / Raw Striker etc. only a few enthusiasts
provide variable and optimistic values. WSCC - big established club supporting the marque offering a social aspect. - The Raw Sylva JPSC is just
fractured and spread around the new on this and other boards.
And you could go on.
As for the Yellow car on eBay - at first glance it looks a good value if you make certain assumptions - on close scrutiny it rather falls short. £4K
then becomes less attractive and no one will argue that you could sink £1500 into it pretty quickly with little return Its okay but its no never to be
missed bargain. Supporters will argue that's not what ownership is about but a buyer you need to have some confidence about value and resale and
this car and the marque in general does not provide it.
Then again the market for lesser obvious kits is pretty depressed at present.
Would I spend £4K on it - No

I would love to see a few pictures of alfas car, then we could all admire it with him it must best one of the best kits around. Come on stand up and be counted
Me too?
I will go along with that.
And if he knows what a fury is he would know why the hinge brackets are there.
The ecs unit if that is what it is the grasstrack boys ran them and by changing the resistance of tge air temp altered the advance curve.
And at the end of the day what forum are you on. Or is it he as a car running for little outlay and a bit of enginuity instead of spending minimum a
grand

While we're here, and because the Fury has always interested me, what do people think of the black car currently on ebay? Just down the road from
the yellow one, in Leeds rather than York.
FISHER FURY 2010 - FORD 1600 CROSSFLOW POWER
I cant actually find may (any) other Furys for sale at the moment.
Daniel
Black Fury,
What I personally think is.
Mine is for sale on Pistonheads so you did not look too hard. or have I removed it as it's under offer.
As for making comment on that car and this is all purely personal taste.
I have never liked the look of the Le Mans bonnet - it ruins the look of a Fury.
The Crossflow would not provide enough power for me and the economy would be disappointing.
I would have to change the wheels.
I dislike Red interiors in Black cars and likewise Red seatbelts.
£5.5K - why not, but it would not be my money.
Different strokes for different folks.
Feel free to comment on mine if you wish.

Or the Fury we are rebuilding at the moment with the Mazda. That will be up for sale soon enough. At £5K it would be a relative bargain LOL
you asked for pics?
ok..here we go..one of my cars:
[Edited on 4/9/14 by alfas]
by the way: it cost less than 4k
Nice one what version is that then with the outboard shocks?
Looks a tidy car you got a bargain if you bought it in that condition.
so you did not build it. no engine then
and it says a lot how you cut back a cable tie
[Edited on 4/9/14 by alfablack]
No pictures of the engine is only telling part of the story
Classic bonnet low line version - very very nice
Minimal interior -
No doors -
No Screen -
Alley Cats -
I personally do not get is the yellow chassis thing.
Red Gearknob - No
Yellow roll bar - No
Modern mirrors - No
Need to see the rear lights - its one of the thing I would have done differently on mine with L691's to go with the L488's
More important than what it cost is what you value it at
I also like the classic colour choice
ETA Nice tyres - some some like that before

the one before i owned last year, for a few months only (to be honest, i never was a fan of jeremy“s favourite, the fiat /lancia twincam...even the
performance was good, even better than my x/flow powered one).
this one is my favourite car since 6 years now...(x/flow powered)

Really nice Alfas - Credit to you.
A lovely car - and good to see another Fury following the 'classic' approach that got me into these cars in the first place.
Nice one.
Engine looks a bit far forward
I like the 'Yellow thing' as well...
Wheels_On_Chassis
Mine has got a red body tho'
Hopefully the other drivers will see me coming.
more "yellow thing"...thats a pic during the built (got it from the former, 1st, owner and builder)
a lot of yellow!!!
Sold.... best offer accepted!
