Post IVA Mirrors
I promised myself that after the Suttol had passed it's IVA I would treat myself to a pair of Bullet mirrors.
Stoneleigh was an excellent opportunity to have a look close up at whats around and I did indeed find
some that I liked, and was able to offer up to make sure they would fit.
I've bought several items recently that on reflection (sorry) I shouldn't. The internet is good, but you can't
beat holding something in your hand.
I'm not a fan of carbon, especially fake carbon, but bullets take me back to my younger days when loads
of sporty cars had them. Can you imagine a Cooper without them?
Anyway; what do we think?

and after.
Cheers,

Never been a big fan of bullet mirrors (don't know why) but they def' suit your car.

Far superior Paul and after having seen your car in the flesh yesterday I would say you've made a good choice to complement your stunning
car.

I've told you Leon ten million times, "don't exaggerate."
Cheers chaps.
Note my side repeaters have mysteriously reappeared as well.

Sorry Paul couldn't resist it.
I don't think the chrome goes well with the body , I wonder how long it will be before they have ally bodies?

I'll ignore that first remark.
I did see some ally ones, but they had a steel plate riveted on to support the stem.
My headlights are chrome so they match those.
The main thing was to find mirrors that would fit or cover the existing holes from the previous mirrors, and had a short
mounting pad that would fit between my vinyl dash and the windscreen support.
I must remember to get myself some darker sunglasses.
If I look at it for too long it hurts. An EW11 welding filter should do.
Cheers

I remember someone not very far from this thread complaining about being dazzled by the aluminium on the back of my car, when he was following me!
(Mel, I think?)

I was so impressed by your shiny back end I redid mine in ally and polished it. Must do something similar with the Astra just to stop idiots behind me
dazzling me by not dipping their lights
