Megane Wiring Question

Apologies that it isn't Locost related, but....

Anyone know what this connector (small grey one on top of the fuse box) is for on an '07 Megane R26? It has got a bit melty and the fuel gauge doesn't work, are they linked?

So thats definitely a canbus connector?

The only things that I've noticed not working are the fuel gauge and oil level sensor.

Almost all wires in the bloody system are. I found out the other day the cruise switches on my clio i was hoping to change to normal switches as i have a new smaller steering wheel, have 4 different resistances so the 4 signals can go down 2 wires.. fun.
