reminds me of driving to work as an apprentice - Mk3 Cortina 1600 pinto
By the time I got to work after 10 miles or so, it had nearly warmed up and you could consider glancing at the choke, to push it in slightly.
Better still when it didnt have a choke, and you left foot braked up to roundabouts so you could keep it running.
The glory days...

What's the yellow one in pic 17? Looks good but I don't think I've ever seen one before.

Heel and toe surely ? To keep the engine lit.
It's how I learnt.
As a matter of fact, should I be in a position these days to experience a car which suggests the first hint of a stutter, it comes to me like 2nd
nature. I think I need to buy myself a simple car with a carb on it just for the fun of it.
