Mending Ali Rad

I recently bought a second hand triple-pass ali rad for the car.

Looking at it, it seems that some sort of epoxy resin has been used to seal two damaged cooling tubes.

I'm not fussed about how it looks - just that the repair will be good. Does this technique sound about right?

Sounds dubious, Iv'e had ally enduro bike rads repaired in the past by the local repair man
and they were done by welding.
Thats not to say yours won't hold water, thre are some marvelous glues available now.

I repaired my old plastic header tank with araldite and a patch cut from a plastic milk bottle...... it held fine for years, only replaced it cos it looked poo and i fell on a really cheap ally one

Rig something up to pressure test it, or take it to your local rad man.
