BTCC - Donington This Weekend
For those who may have missed it BTCC is at Donington this weekend.
As the track is just getting going again and it's a great place to see motor sport I thought I'd give it a plug.
Probably going Sunday in the car if it's going to be decent.

I used to be apathetic but now I just don't care.

Have they returned it to it's old spec or did the end up changing it?
IMHO it's an old circuit and the charm is that it is an old circuit. To "update" it is (I reckon) to spoil it.
I watched the simulations of the proposed F1 circuit and it didn't look worth the sacrifice to the original bits.

Hi
The circuit is very much the same as it was, the Melbourn loop is not in use and the chicane has been moved further back up the straight, away from
the St/finish line, but the rest, thankfully, is as was
For the Masters Historics the other week the infield was like a bomb site and not in use, I doubt they will have done anything about that.

At the Masters meeting the spectating was closed from Macleans to the start/finish straight (so no viewing at Coppice or chicane) and no access to
infield, but the track itself looked in good order.
The swoop from Craner Curves down to the hairpin is brilliant - what a track!
