Anyone here got a TT?

Following my quest for a rear screen for my new project, it looks like the Audi TT might be a candidate.

Has anyone got access to one to measure up the glass size?

how big do you want the window to be?

Just to think of other cars of similar size.

Have you thought of lagunas?

I'm hoping to get something about 850 -900mm wide or less - length is not so critical but it needs to be fairly flat and squareish at the top.

I initially thought of the Calibra but that is about 100mm too wide, and I suspect the Laguna is even wider.

p.s. Indykid -

Chrysler Crossfire rear screen is square at the top, though it does taper inwards towards the back/bottom

Does it have to be rear screen?

Can't you get away with a sunroof or moonroof?

There must be a way of adding the rear heating element if you want.

Lateral thinking l0rdy - it hadn't occurred to me. The heating element isn't really essential - I just want glass rather than plastic.

Sunroofs and moonroofs are glass due to safety reasons

Also, should be E marked?

Also. most of them are rectangular and wouldn't matter if you install it 90 degrees rotated.

The rear screen isnt parallel, the top is wider than the bottom, at the widest point it measures 101.5cm east-west.

In the centre it is 82cm north-south.

Yep, I saw it there - a nice one too. Funny thing is that I meant to bring a tape measure with me but left in a rush.

Thanks for the info Red - looks like a TT is going to be too wide as well, although the length would be ideal
