Did a lap of Brands GP circuit
On foot...
Went down with a couple of mates for the MSVR meeting last weekend.
850 mile round trip.
We got there on Saturday night and after getting ourselves sorted out went for a walk.
I was surprised to discover that we had unhindered access to the full circuit, so we went for a walk.
Brands looks like an interesting enough circuit when seen on the telly, but I couldn't get over the differences in altitude around the circuit.
Especially down Pilgrims Drop and Dingle Dell.
Then there are the bailey bridges.
I'm told that when you go under them, you don't notice, but I couldn't quite believ how low they are.
Here's a pic of some ugly bloke atttempting to touch one at Pilgrims.

We then went looking for the if motorsport transporter, because the guys I was with know the boys in
the team, that meant we had a wander along through the paddock. Some pretty cool transporters here.

Then we found the IF boys just as it was getting dark.
They were there with a Ligier JS49 which was the class of the field and won the race by three laps at the end of the three hours. Some result.
Quite a tool it is too.

What a great weekend it was, so thanks to Graham and Simon for allowing me to be a small part of a great weekend.
As far as my interest in Motorsport goes, best weekend I've ever had.
Cheers lads.

You actually don't notice when you drive under the bridge although the run down Pilgrims Drop is very, very fast.

Thats why I prefer Brands to Silverstone; it goes up and dpwn.

Very lucky, well worth the drive down imo.
I once walked round Donnington, with a hangover... big mistake!

As soon as Le Mans is over you can get on the track. I cycled all 8 miles of it!
