Tidy your garage !
Tidying your garage / shed is a great thing to do.
For as long as the shed of Zil has been sitting like a coup, I haven't felt inclined to go in there and do anything.
If I might also add, I had quite failed to accept that there was only one proper way to turn the Sylva into a proper car again.
Stripping it down to the last nut and bolt was off it.
So, about a fortnight ago, I started tidying the shed. That let to an inclination to get on with it again.
And this is where we are now. I'm within a day or so of having a bare chassis with no panels on it.
Where I should have been all along.
Chassis Stripped
I know, it looks cack, but it started like this.
Messy engine bay small
.
Blasting the chassis has to be the next move. Then I'll have a basis on which to move forwards.
What I have learnt most of all though, is where the weight is in this generation of Sylva, and it's not in the chassis.
The bodywork is a different thing entirely...

I quite agree - a tidy garage is a better place to be, and from experience much safer too (I've fallen over a couple of times after tripping
over cables and mess - lucky not to be properly hurt - so far).
Having just sold my Indy, I'm going to take the opportunity to have a proper clear out and paint the floor and walls etc before I bring another
project in.
I also find a good stereo and heater make for better productivity too.

your right, but tidying takes flippin ages, and all time in the garage seems to be monitored closely by SWMBO... and deducted from any driving time!

I've been at my new garage for a few days and haven't touched my car yet. Normally I would have dived straight in but this time I am
getting organised. It's amazing how much total, utter crap I've gathered over the years.
The mental gymnastics a landlord will employ to justify immoral actions is clinically fascinating. Just because something is legal doesn't make
it moral.
