Folks, I'm a little stumped on modifing a friends Integra type R floorpan and could do with some ideas.
Integra
We're trying to get a 6'5" bloke into the car. it's apparently been track prepped, not to the greatest standard to be honest.
Anyway to the main issue, As in the image, we need to drop the seat into area of the yellow square, the orginal mounts have been removed with a plan
to mount the seat straight to the floor, i've even notched the tunnel to ensure he's square in the car.
Unfortuately it's not enough, I had planned to drop a lowered floor section into the car to gain the extra 30mm we still need, but the is a
chassis box section running in the area of the red lines.
How much of it's 40mm depth do you all think we can remove to get the lowered section in? what extra bracing could I had to restore the
strength?
The yellow square can't be moved as the rollcage limits aft movement and it fits his driving position. It's just he fits without a helmet,
so it's only vertical height he needs.
He's spent too much now to change car. Any ideas?

What seats? Fibreglass shells are very low, backside is on the floor, and can be bolted directly to the floor.
He needs a slightly wider seat. he's got this, still not enough height even without the padding!

May or may not be suitable, but the Tillet T250 Kart seat may be OK? Link

Has he tried to get into the car with a hemlet on as this will add another half and inch. I always had this problem in my itr when at track and I'm only 6ft
He has 2" without the helmet, less than 1/2" with.

Raise the roof?
I've always been a fan of the zagato roof bubble.
Many thanks for the replies, he had a set of old seat mounts that I've been able to drill to drag his butt/floorpan along the floor.
Just gotta put in some seat mount plates under the seat to take his 6 point harness and fit the new lower door cross braces and he's ready.
Thanks once again, Dan.
