I'm making a new windscreen surround for my Austin 7 and need to source around 1 metre of 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/16" brass channel section.

last time I bought this from Smiths Metal Centres but although still available the cost for 1 metre is £43.81 + £18 Carriage + VAT which brings the overall cost to £74.17 which seems a lot for just under 1/2 Kg of material.

Are there any other suppliers who would send by post (or are around Maidstone) who stock brass channel?

It's an Ulster replica registered 1929 although it incorporates parts from a variety of years.
