looking for some advicet just got a kit car to play about withover winter before i start a locost think blade engine with it
back to kit car it is based on a 1.6 sierra with a 3.34 ratio diff i think
what im wanting to know can i change the drums on the back to discs and calipers i know need a convertion plate as dont really trust drum brakeson
anything really
so question is what disk and calipers would i need to aquire and also where to get a convertion plate
hope someone can help thanks alot
Drums are fine on a light car, you will need the long diff for a bike engine but for car engine and 1.6 pinto a 3.9 would make a world of difference.

I converted my Drums to discs, if you send me your email by U2U, I will return you a write up of how to do it, complete with Pics.
I have a pair of disc conversion plates if your interested, as i changed over to lobro rear end
thanks for the replies everyone i know the theory the drums are ok and perfectly resonable to use but am one of those people who think drums were
replaced with discs for a reason so am going to go with the disc convertion
thanks for the offer of the calipers mcerd will keep it in mind
u2u sent too u johneturbo
well they are here if you want them - I've not got the carriers for them, just the calipers themself, but they've never been used since they
were reconed
and since your only just up the road you wouldn't need to pay any postage
new rear calipers
thanks mcerd1
will do
