These bloke have ripped up my drive... for some reason part of it is 18" thick...

A little while later a lorry took 16 tonnes of rubble away - and they haven't finished!

The easy option is to ask the guy in the digger just to hook onto your roll over bar and lift the car onto the road.

So what is actually happened then? Instead of just removing concrete???

This bit was supposed to be a half-day job - break up the concrete on my drive and my neighbour's, cart it away, level out and put down some concrete ready for block paviers (it had to be re-laid as the levels were all wrong on the existing concrete - water poured into my garage in torrential rain).

My wife has been walking round the house with earplug in!

That sounds like my garden. i had a 10 inch thick garden path!!

Old concrete now gone - new concrete down, according to my wife.

Neighbourhood now happier as the bloke has stopped using his pneumatic drill - wait until the vibrating plate and diamond slab-cutting saw come out tomorrow!
