Hi All i am thinking of making a car cover over the seating area and was just thinking could i use pond liner as the cover The rubber type
what do you all think ?
is it a daft idea ?
Jacko
I dont own a pond so dont know what the material is like.
Dont fancy using vinal like everybody else then!!
Yes it was just a idea sort of thinking aloud
tried it myself, one of the main problem is the heat, when hot its really supple when cold its brittle. Plus it hardens with age. I would use vinly leather cloth
If you want something other than leather cloth maybe try wetsuit neoprene.
A word of warning if looking on eBay, neoprene rubber isnt what you want (I made that costly mistake, ooops!).
Get some nylon tent style material off ebay, very cheap and easy to stitch on a normal sewing machine, folds up very small and 100% water proof.

I'm loving that last 1. How is it fastened down.
? Was sat looking at my car last night thinking about something very much along those lines but the fixing was giving me a headache.
This is what I'm going to buy
