Took the Zilbus in for an MOT last week and I thought an overzealous MOT tester had unfairly picked up on some wear on a rear trailing arm bush. There
was no way you could feel any movement and it rode silently and straight with no clonks.
I begrudgingly spent the whole day on Saturday stripping out the back axle and replacing the bush. I also replaced a front wishbone, but that
wasn't impossible, just a nightmare. The back axle was a ballbreaker doing it single handed. Well, a handfull at least.
Anyway, he was right.
Can you spot new - vs - old ?
If I might add, the outer part is that shape because I hacksawed it and chiselled it out. hence the shape.

Good work on his part I'd say!
Bloody MOT testers................just too picky if you ask me............come the revolution they will be first against the wall
Yep , mine failed today.................one day I will get a car through first try
serves you right for having a pink tool box!
Can't see a diff meself
I always take both (all) my cars to the same place and they always pass - although sometimes the MOT costs me more???
ah dont start saying about kit cars failing mots.
I have got mine booked in next saturday (not this one)
I have not taken a car for a mot test for about 5 years due to company cars. Im petrified it will fail with a huge list of things I cant quickly
fix.
Now you have put the sh*tters up me!!
Last time when i had my MOT, i got doughnuts with me to treat the mechanics as they have been realy good.
Unfortunatelly, next time, the only thing i will get is a pen without ink, so i can give it to the tester.
Last MOT was £330 cash under the desk.
My tin tops just failed for a huge crack across the windscreen
