bought a V70 2.4 T yesterday,
at auction in leeds, few faults found so far:
erratic idle - but settles to 750 when warm? (MAF sensor?)
Dash message - "alarm system needs a service" ? no idea.
dipped bulb out on OS.
Leather needs a clean.
from "harrats volvo" in Barnsley.
12mts mot 6mts tax.
4 new tyres - Full Service History.
what do think???????
im hoping it will be more reliable than the 307 SW we had (3K in bills last 2 years!)
im about to strech its legs up the A1 to washington at 1pm to help dad with an afternoon of locost building!
Description
Very nice!
That's a lot of reliable car for not much money. Good effort. Wonder how many MPG it will do on a long run though...
Loloks great. Sounds like a really bargain too.
volvos rule.
(says the man with an 850 T5).
so when are you picking up the flat cap.
and remember you must never indicate, drive at 30 mph on dual carriageways in the middle lane.
..... actaully that is a myth, I alwasy look out of motorcyclicsts and cyclists as I is one.
Great cars, just got rid of my v70 2.3T AWD and replaced it with an S40 2.0D (which is a fantastic car too)
On a long run I managed about 25 but its a good deal heavier than a regular V70 so I would expect you would get somewhere up to 30 on a run, maybe
more.
I had an erratic idle which apparently can be the drive by wire throttle body becoming gummed up with carbon deposits.
Bulbs are easy, but be careful no to break the plastic locating tabs on the bulb unit. They became brittle and I broke every one when I changed my
bulbs last time.

Bargain. Looks like an Ex-Police car... ?
I had the same alarm fault come up on my volvo, volvo had to reprogram the ECU to get rid of it.

The biggest problem with these is falling asleep at the wheel. They really are like a big sofa on wheels! My dad had 2 automatic diesels (160 and 185bhp) and they were just perfect motorway mile munchers and family cars!
Thats a nice car mate, i feel ripped off cause i just bought a new audi similar spec and it cost nearly £30k
Great cars, if you boot it you'll be lucky to get 22mph if it's anything like my old 850 T5, which I LOVED ....
I'm amazed you found your 307 unreliable and expensive to repair, there are those on here who think the French make reliable and superb luxury
cars I'm not one of them mind you

yea yeah yeah -you know what I mean
Serious though, that is one fast estate car....
It's a better deal than one I know of down here...
'55 plate V70 T5 Ex plod car which has all the signs that it was used as a U-Boat yet I know a donkey down here that still paid £3600.00 for
it....Not me before you ask as I can't stop grinning when I see...
What mileage and reg is it?
i had my eye on a messy 02 plate t5 for £1500, but never got round to buying it. Definately want one though!
which auction did you go to?
