Bargain or not ?
big_wasa - 19/2/10 at 04:13 PM

I was out and about to day and spotted a caravan chassis for sale.

Long enought for a mondeo so must have been 16 ft atleast.
single axle and braked. had a quick look under it and it was a modern style galv chassis.

I want a car transporter and this looks a good locost start.

Price £45

so bargain or not ?

oh and he had a few, he gets them from an insurance firm. He said some could be a matter of months old..

Those car park barriers eh

Can't really go wrong at £45 since you could put it on ebay for a quick £55 profit apparently even if it proves not to be suitable.

Sounds a good deal to me.

Try and get another axle out him also so you can put more weight on it.

Actually 90 quid for 2, nick the axle and sell the other axleless one on the bay. That would still be cheap.

You say it is a single axle.

Check that it would not be too high from the road.

Sounds like a bargain, got to be worth a look but as said previously check the axle weight.
