Durite fuel guage
hi gents
just connecting my durite fuel guage bought as package from cbs and cant get thing to work.checked and double checked wiring just seems to go off the
scale towards empty.have tried removing sender and moving to full/empty but nothing. tried overlaying wiring still the same.tried swapping power and
earth over just goes straight to full.knackered guage i guess?

do you have a earth from the tank sender unit to chassis earth

nope?on sender theres 1 connecton that goes straight to the guage?or do i need to do something else?

you need to earth the sender to the chassis
on the fuel tank where the sender unit is fastened by the set screws you need to attatch the earth wire to 1 of the screws and the other end to the
chassis

ok is this same connection that goes to guage.or do i earth top of sender where bolts into tank?sorry if im being a numpty.nothing mentioned in
instruction about this.

fuel gauge earth to chassis or earth in wiring loom that goes to chassis
fuel sender unit earth to chassis from 1 of the fixing screws
