Supressors

Will the suppressor from the pinto alternator work with a micra alternator? Pic attached. The micra one (top) has broken so was wondering if i could use the old rectangular pinto one. The numbers on the side don't mean a lot to me!

Unless you are running a radio in the car, throw them away!
They are basically a capacitor which helps reduce radio waves, but can cause problems if the break down or short out.

2.2 is the capacitance value - 2.2 µF ( ooh look at me with my fancy greek symbols )

the other numbers would appear to be working voltage, 100 and 150 V.

as mitram says, you don't need it unless you have fancy electronic gubbins
