Front Indicators
Every time I go to a show I seem to come back with a set of winkers.
I'm starting to run out of shelf space so I thought I'd have a go at making some.
I came across some Wipac lenses and bulb holders at Stoneleigh, so in my usual
indecisive way I bought the clear and the orange ones so I still have the choice.
At least they are in keeping with the ally nose, but I think they may look a tad big,
but I could aways shorten the stem after SVA.
What do you think?

I like them a lot very much in keeping with the ally body! They look way better than the usual plastic ones would.
What about a picture with the clear lenses on?

I think that clear lenses may look better on a silver body. When I saw the top pic I thought the lights were a bit old fashoned but the silver case
looks great against the car.

Paul,
I don't think they look too big. In fact, they look very smart.
Is each lens 400mm from the outermost edge of the car? It must be quite close.
Watch out for the visibility angles from the front - each indicator must be 50% visible from an angle of 45 degrees on the opposite side. I suspect
that the car's nose may obscure the lens from that direction (hopefully not).
I can scan the SVA Manual drawing if my explanation's not clear.
cheers,
David

I wondered that too, they look like they are set back a fair distance. The clear ones would look good with the car I think.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Hi All,
The 45deg thing is OK.
They will measure 385mm from the rear arch (when I've made them) hence I'll cut them down after SVA.
Pic below shows the clear lens.
I did think that a splash of colour might add something to what is a very plain car.
Cheers All

Out of the two I think I would go with orange as well!
Looks a bit plain with the clear ones.

Looking like it's getting close to the time for booking the SVA.
Very nice job as usual, when are you getting the big sheet of ally and bashing out a buck for Epona
p.s. Orange here as well, I don't like orange bulbs hiding behind clear lenses.

SVA in the spring, but I'm not saying which one. (Tee He)

Thanks.
Toooo many curves for me to do in ally. I can only do box shapes.

I think it needs a splash of colour.
