A locost solution?

Might be of interest to the BEC guys out there.

in my experience these cheap units have got a fairly short life span, and dont quote me but i dont think they would like being charged by an alt for too long before going pop

I've had a clarke one for years now. It has a lead specially for charging it from an accessory socket in the car so it should have no problem with that. It will not achieve full charge from an alternator though according to the paperwork with it.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
