Omex connectors
Can anyone tell me what type of connector this is?
 
Lambda
Its used to connect the Lambda sensor on an Omex loom. They are £6 something from Omex so that means other places will have them for half that price
if I can identify what brand/ range it is!

Doesnt look like any of the cheap ones you can easily get hold of on Ebay, VWP or polevolt.
Pay the £6 and have one less pint down the pub next week to make up for it!

Yes I am a cheapskate (I don't mind paying for good service but if I can get the same thing cheaper elsewhere then why not!) and now I
can't remember why Omex said it would be a good idea to fit the Lambda sensor...it was nearly two years ago I spoke to them about it and ordered
the 600 btu it made sense at the time!
I could leave it out to get the car running I guess. Then if they say I need it I will say Jeff said I didn't need it

It looks an expensive connector (maybe JST). You could try RS Components, but as suggested I'd be inclined to buy it from them to be sure it
works.

If you get the car mapped correctly you'll not need the wideband Lambda unless you want to see what AFR it is doing. I don't have a
wideband on mine....

If I can find out what it is then I can probably get it for free. Having ones own Electronic Design and Assembly business does have the odd
'perk' when suppliers want my business in future 
Or as Jeff says just don't bother with Lambda for now. I can always fit it in later if for some reason I change my mind

Quite a lot to be said for not having lambda most of the time. Having spent quite a bit on the rolling road for a max power map and an emissions map I
don't want the ECU pulling my max power map, which tends to be a bit rich, back leaner because lambda is a bit low.

That's the conclusion I came to last night after a bit more reading. My car has been on the road before with a xflow (in 2005) so the emissions
at MOT time are not a problem

Just be sure the locating pins are in the same place, some have slots and cuts at different positions.

Used the manufactures part number
Turns out I probably don't need the Lambda but as I have one and will need the boss for RR tunning I might as well fit it and then I can log the
AFR for no other reason than its possible

Wide band Lambda probes can suffer when used continually and will give false readings unless cleaned up frequently. Most RR will have several probes
for just that reason. If you don't need to run a WB I wouldn't bother unless you are prepared to clean the probe on a frequent basis.

Looking a little further (working honest) it looks to be a Delphi "weather pack" connector.
