Indicators
Hi all,
I am looking ahead at what electrics/lights etc I will use but I can't find many indicators that have a stalk long enough to mean that it will
meet the 400mm from the sides required for the IVA.
Something like this: Typical indicator
Would mean the indicators weren't wide enough apart, and possibly not close enough to the outer edge of the car.
The only ones I can seem to find are these: Longer stalk
indicators
Which I just don't like (would prefer black ones that aren't so shiny).
What have other people done?
I have considered making an extension tube (or buying one if anyone knows a good place to get them) to then fit a shorter stalk to as this would save
a bit of work.
Thanks all

Extension tube,then remove after IVA
Search E-Bay/Google I would say for tube, just measure diameter of your indicators and go from there.

I use some 19mm plastic pipe from B&Q. The pipe runs all the way through the nose cone and trimmed to the correct length. It is fixed inside to
stop it twisted.
Description
Could be a solution for you if the indicators can be fixed into the end of the pipe.

I think they'll need to be extended by at least 5cm, the plastic pipe seems like a good solution at least to get me past the iva if needed

I used some spare copper central heating pipe that I had lying around I jammed and glued a nuts into the ends (cannot remember what size, but there
is a size that fits very well). I then drilled a bolt through the middle so that I could run the wires through. Finally, I wrapped some insulating
tape around so that 19mm plastic tube would fit tightly over it all.
They are bolted to the nose with a couple of penny washers added to spread the load. Everything sprayed to match the car.

This is what I did, it took all the front out of scope for the big ball test. This was SVA mind, not sure what the rules are for IVA..
Conduit bent to fit under the headlights and at the front of the nose cone where the number plate would go. SVA man had a good lean on it during his
chin scratching..
Passed it on to somebody else on here..

Hi
made our out of 1 piece aly tube
Right through nosecone instead of little flappy
ones dangling at the wrong angle,as you quite often see
if you don't like them, cut down after IVA
