Bright 6 + Zetec : How To Alternator Wiring

The small alternator on my Zetec has 2 "spade" terminals and a "bolt" terminal. I've connected the "Bolt" terminal straight to the battery. I'm using a bright 6 dash for the battery warning light.

The question is, where do the other 2 connections from the alternator go?

I've looked through big_wasa's Zetec Engine Wiring document and it says :
The Alternator system - There are 2 pin's from the engine harness plug
Pin 8 - Green / Black - This connects to the brown / yellow wire on the bright6.

Pin 16 - Orange - This connects to it's own perm 12v fuse in the engine bay.

I'm using a standard ECU on my car, and pin 8 is blocked off on the ECU plug - so I can't add any new wires.

Any ideas how I should wire the alternator to the bright 6 battery warning light ?

Forget the ecu wiring for that alternator. The guide refers to the Ford unit that has there smart charge system.

Just Google Denso wiring and all will be clear. One pin will be to the bright 6 and one will be a switched live.

Yes. It's putting out a charge. 12.5v with ignition on and then 14v when running idle
