Ace well speedo sensor position
Hi all,
Can anyone with an acewell dash please either post a pic or let me know how and where you mounted the pick up for the magnet for the speedo sensor.
Thanks in advance

I don't have any pics, but mine is mounted on an L shaped steel bracket [the first ali one cracked after a few thousand miles] fastened to one
of the upright chassis members in the tunnel.
The magnet is on the prop.

I used the screw in magnet, fitted it to the prop adaptor, but could be on any rotating flange.

I used epoxy and a cable tie to fix mine to the prop. After several failed efforts using tape and epoxy this method has worked for years.

I think it was just some cheap stuff from Lidl.
With the cable tie all the epoxy really does is keep the whole thing in place, and stop it from slipping.

Mine is fixed to the inner end of a driveshaft with Araldite. The sensor is on a steel bracket held by one of the bolts on the diff.
