dash warning lights
My dash is now cut, trimmed, holes cut, most of the gauges fitted and now I need some warnings lights.
So can you wonderful people of LCB post up some dash pics please showing your warning lights
Also, which lights to choose I have gone for:
Indicators (just one bulb)
Hazard
Oil PRessure
Fog light
Fan (have a fan over ride switch too)
On the maybe list is battery ( I have a voltmeter gauge)
Headlights
Full beam
The car is a road/track car
Thanks, Yodi
Ps. here's where I'm at today

i got a load of 12v leds off ebay
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Fast-Track-R-C-Products/5mm-Pre-Wired-LEDs-/_i.html?rt=nc&_fsub=2937203011&_sid=86464351&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14&
;_sop=15&_sc=1
already prewired with resistors etc. battery charge light might still need a normal bulb (perhaps in addition to an LED
cheaper than the equivalent standard nasty warning lights you get with normal yellow looking bulbs (the type that make your blue and green warning
lights look yellow!)

headlight full beam and brake fluid warning are requirements.
You need a charging light otherwise the alternator won't work.

Thanks for the help and advice guys
Brake level warning and test dont bother me at all, so they wont be going on.
I was thinking about 'full beam' from my maybe list only

I dont really like those or the idea of just led's, I wanted ones with the symbol on them ideally to save me using a label machine and labelling
next to them as to what they are for.
I like these but I'd prefer a bit smaller, but they look like the 99p ones with a bezel and a logo for an extra £6 each

ah yeah, well here's how i labelled mine
Description
the paint reacted with the stickers a bit though which was annoying, or i'd have taken more time to cut them straighter...
still, i'm happy with it
tbh, the type you posted are the ones i really don't like lol, but thats what makes people more interesting, liking different stuff, and
stuff

these are what ive got:
http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/switches/trillogy-engraved-aluminium-push-button-switches
They light up blue at night and are really easy to see and good quality switches, try and find them cheaper than demon tweeks though :S

Check out the Interior and Seating title in this forum for 17 pages of dashboard layouts.
If it can't be fixed with a hammer then its probably an electrical problem.

not necessarily, a resistor would do the same job - but a lamp serves a dual purpose in that is also shows if the alternator is charging.

I was thinking about 'full beam' from my maybe list only
I can understand the test switch, but I think knowing the fluid level is ok is pretty essential safety feature!
Mainbeam is an MoT requirement, as is a fog switch and warning light

Mainbeam I will put, fog light I will put but not a brake fluid warning light, I dont think it's a safety feature I know my car well enough and
am very meticulous in maintenance to know that the fluid isn't, and wont be low.

as i understand the law you dont have a choice about the brake warning lamp it is a compulsory warning lamp....as is main beam, as is low beam/sides
(dash illumination will do here, so long as it comes on with the lights) indicators can be visible OR audible or both

Pretty sure the brake warning light only needs to work if fitted.
