Wiper Motor Mounting
Hi All
I wasn't sure whether to put this in the Electrics or Bodywork section!
How have you guys mounted your wiper motors? I'm just looking at my 26R (Elan) which uses the standard Lucas (mini style) motor and fittings,
but the shell has no brackets for the motor - the 'normal' Elan has a bracket mounted on the side protection bars but my 26R doesn't
have these bars.
So, would bolting it, using the proper bracket and rubber mount, to the fibreglass bulkhead cause any problems (vibration etc.)?

I mounted mine on a bracket I made up which bolts at the bottom to a chassis member and at the top to the top of the ali scuttle. No problems.
GRP might need some localised re-inforcement (depends how thick it is already )

Mine is similar - there's a rectangular rubber pad under the motor, and everything's clamped down the U-bolt.

Mine like BenBs but it was supplied with the bracket when I got it from SCC

I mounted mine to an ally bracket that fixed to the back of the windscreen pillar bolts.
I didnt want any bolt heads showing througt the scuttle.
