what do people use more lightweight small alternators and any pics of them and the mounts people have made

Trad option is the nippon denso type found on lots of little small Japanese cars and some utility vehicles (like small earth movers etc etc). Some
need pulley changes but thats about it.

I've had a couple of the Daihatsu Denso alternators. Small, light and reasonably priced.
Quite a popular choice for customs and racers...

Bedford Rascal was a cheap, small one I used with my Pinto.
